About Equifax
Loans assessed with Equifax reports
Equifax is one of the four credit bureaus licensed by the RBI. Its Indian arm has been operating since 2010 and holds both a consumer bureau and one of the largest microfinance databases in the country, so it is checked heavily by NBFCs, fintech lenders and small-ticket lenders.
Your Equifax Credit Score also runs from 300 to 900. It can differ a little from your CIBIL Score because not every lender reports to every bureau at the same time, and each bureau uses its own scoring model.
Which bureau a lender checks is the lender's choice. Many check more than one.
- Personal Loan
Many NBFCs and app-based lenders decide quick personal loans on an Equifax report.
Apply - Business Loan
SME and working-capital lenders often combine your Equifax consumer report with your business credit history.
Apply - Professional Loan
Loans for doctors, CAs and other professionals are commonly assessed by NBFCs that use Equifax.
Apply - Car Loan
NBFC-financed vehicle loans, including used-car finance, frequently run an Equifax check.
Apply - Mortgage Loan
Housing finance companies may check Equifax alongside CIBIL for a fuller picture of your repayments.
